To Fairbanks and Back!

Ern has had really good luck with weather for flying and is ahead of schedule with getting his moose hunting camps ready. He called to say he had a small window to spend time with us before his hunters arrive in town. I packed up the truck and we headed toward Fairbanks to see him early the next morning. We all had a nice time and the short day we spent together felt more like a week!
Haley wants to help with everything including the tent set up and getting her bed ready. I can't say we all had a "good night of sleep". Haley ended up with 2 and a half blankets and 2 and a half sleeping pads. Ern had no sleeping pad and half a blanket. - not much considering we had frost on the tent in the morning!
Happy Camper!

The day was beautiful and warm. Haley practiced some new moves on her trike and we picked about a gallon of cranberries - they are early this year and ripe for picking.

It was nice to feel the heat of the sun and relax for a bit. Haley really enjoyed having some play time with her dad and the time spent takes the 'edge off' the the length of time he will be gone.
