Packing In The Fun Before Summer Ends!

A Trip To The Fair With Dad!
We have packed in as much as we could while Ern has been here. We took Haley to the fair a few days ago. We were glad for a bit of sunshine while we were there but we also got a nice rain shower before we left! Haley had the most fun with the rocks and the puddles but she did enjoy looking at all of the animals and went into the petting pen with Ern.Ern was more excited to have Haley go on her first ride than Haley appeared to be. He bought tickets and managed to talk her into getting into a ride. It was all fine till He walked away. They did manage to go down the big slide together and I don't think she took a breath the whole ride down. She did not cry, but she did not want to do it again! She did have fun fishing fur ducks with dad and was proud of her "prize duck"! We got a cream puff for the road and then it was off to the plane to fly to the cabin!
A Quick Cabin Trip
Grandma and Grandpa have been down at the cabin for a week now so we took advantage of the good flying conditions and flew to the cabin to catch some fish and spend the night.Haley is all about helping and as soon as we mentioned 'fishing', she went and grabbed the gloves in the cabin and asked me to get her boots on.

We were happy to catch a few fish and Grandpa was Happy to teach Haley how to help!
She likes to look at them but is not too excited to touch them!

It is always fun to wake up in the cabin and spend time in bed with Haley in the morning. Its not long before she is bursting with energy and eager to get out and play. She would spend all day on the beach scooping rocks and playing by the water if she could!

Flying Fish!I put this picture in because there is a fish jumping out of the water in the background! I did not even see it jump when I took the picture and was surprised when I downloaded the pictures at home!

The Blueberries are Ripe For Picking!

We squeezed in a few days of berry picking and if anyone is interested - the blueberries are ripe for the picking at South Fork Eagle River and Arctic Valley. They will only get better for a while! Haley loves spending time with Amy and Amy is a good sport about sharing her berries with Amy. She would put one in the bag and take a handful out.
