A Trip To Visit Ern During His Mid Guiding Season
Happy first birthday Kai Kai!
We met Ern Half way to spend a few days with him before his second batch of hunters arrived. It was a stellar drive as we headed north, the colors were beautiful and Denali was in full view. We took advantage of our first and last sunny evening to have a little birthday celebration for Kai. Truth be told - It was really more for Haley!
We enjoyed to sunshine as much as we could and walked quickly back to camp to beat the looming rain clouds that were heading our way. We made it back to the tent just before the down pour started and it continued to rain on and off for the rest of the stay. Rain or shine - it really did not matter, it was just nice for all of us to spend some time with Ern. It helps to break up the time that he is away and both of the kids love it!
