Haley's First Race
(Heading to the Starting line)
I have been waiting for Haley to grow big enough to go to Family Night Tuesday races. This year is her year to give it a try. Her first race was one and a half K which is just over half a mile. We started in the back where she would have plenty of time to walk when she wanted to and Kai in the stroller would not get in the way. Once she started she never stopped! All we did was run past kid after kid. She had one fall but then she was up and running again as she tried so hard to catch 'that boy in the red shirt'. Honestly, I had a hard time keeping up with her! She was pretty disappointed that she did not win. I told her to keep eating all of her good foods and getting good rest and she would grow big enough and strong enough to win one day if she really wanted to.
