Snow Day

A Perfect Day For A Glacier Hike Both of the kids did a great job today. Haley ran most of the way stating, "Momma I just cant hold it, I have to get all of my 'runnings' out". We are learning the simple things like how to poop and pee in the woods and reasons why you don't walk on top of snow where the river runs underneath. Kai loved all of it (he did not cry once!). He insisted on doing his own bolder walking and made me dizzy as I held his hands while he walked in a large circle up and down the rocks and giggling as he jumped to the ones out of his reach. Haley insisted on climbing to the top of the mountain and still has no concept of what she is talking about!!!
I hoped the bears had better things to eat as we sat in a quiet place and broke out the peanut and butter and jelly sandwiches. The dogs were close by waiting for the scraps and a chance snowball that would get tossed their way. Summer has been way too wet and short. I wish we could have many more days like today.
