Time Flys....

Three Years Ago

Haley was such a little peanut! I took this photo looking out our old cabin window pretty much three years ago to the date. She is two months younger than Kai is today in this photo - they sure look lots alike! And Ern - he is just as handsome now as he was then.

He still away flying and doing well. We have been busy here as usual. We bought flowers and pots to plant today and Haley was so excited. The trip grew long and the cart grew full. By the time we threw in a few large planting pots, a new crib mattress, and un-needed odds and ends sale items there was little room left for anything else. By the time we got across the store to the fun part of picking out the flowers that were on sale out side, the wind had picked up which upset Kai very much as we approached the close minutes to his nap time. Where to fit three large bags of dirt and two flats of flowers in a full cart where Haley now wants to get in and ride instead of walk (which never happens)!?! Both of the kids are clinging to their colds and it seems like i never have that Kleenex handy for the most needed of moments, and this was one of those moments!! Kai was crying at his near loudest volume with snot dripping as we approached the register. Thank you nice older man who works there for making silly faces to cheer him up and for helping me get my things to the truck and loaded! We never planted today - Haley took a much needed nap and slept right through my attempts to wake her up despite opening her curtains and her door and she continued to sleep well into the next hour. It was early bed time for both of them!!!!

Oh what fun! Some day those will be the memories for a great belly-laugh :o) Our four girls are very close in age... when our youngest was born, our oldest was only four and a half. And our third daughter has multiple special needs & didn't learn to walk until age 3. Wish I had more memories of Shannon's first year, but it is a bit of a blur :o)
