The Last Day

Here is the shot about ten minutes before Ern took off for doing flight survey work for the state. He had many things to plan and think about, but he still managed to sneak in his last few minutes with the kids before he flew away. Haley received a brand new kite from the Easter bunny this year but was much more proud to fly the ratty old kite 'treasure find' from the bushes from a few weeks ago! Ern has been gone for a few days now and his job, its going really well and it sounds like he is enjoying his time. We have been doing fine here. I have two sick kids with an endless supply if snot dripping from their noses but it has not held us back from getting out and enjoying the much anticipated spring weather. The best news is that Kai is in his own room for the first time tonight after a slow and successful 3 day transition! We are all happy for that!!!!!!
