Antler Hunting Season Is Here!
I Love my husband. For him there is never a day of rest But I think he likes his job for the most part. It is days like today that look fun and easy but there are many non-photo days in sub zero weather, wind, snow and the works that make today a treasured one to log in. These antlers are especially rare because it is a locked set. Two moose fought and locked horns and could not get unhooked from each other and died that way!
Did I mention I love my father-in-law? Ern comes from a good gene pool! He can out hike and out snow machine most 30 yr olds! He is also so very good and patient with me when I am lucky to be the third wheel on these sort of trips. I have not been on one in a while! While they were out on their adventure I was at the rec center with the kids and friends, got one down for a nap then had time to read to the other one before her nap I and that was just about the time when the other one then got up. Tummy time and play time with Kai and then time for Haley to get up. I got a bath started for Kai while Haley had her first poop in the pants accident. Gratefully she had pull ups on over her underwear from her nap and the mess did not escape very far. So as Kai cried away Haley and I worked her out of the mess and into the bath. It was not the solid kind of mess and the only thing I could think to do with the underpants as Kai screamed in the back ground was to throw them away! Finally I had two kids clean and dressed and realised that Haley had re-washed her hair with bubble bath and it was back to the sink for one more rinse off as Kai sat in his chair with a bottle propped in his mouth. He was sleeping when we finished and I was so glad!
By the time Ern came home the house was quiet and peaceful with Haley and I playing one of her games. He asked her, ""What did you do all day little one?" She said, "Oh, Nothing, I pooped my pants though!"
