Happy Holidays Everyone!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year From Ern Joselynn and Haley!

We had a very nice Christmas with family and friends and I hope all of you had a nice holiday also! I think family traditions are important and Haley is old enough this year to be involved in things like making cookies and cards and wrapping gifts. I was glad to have the time to do things like this with her this year!
First Time Making Sugar Cookies!

Please don't let me bore you with silly videos of my kid eating raw cookie dough and making a mess of things unless you have lots of spare time on your hands! If you do watch it, I hope you enjoy it! I love making sugar cookies and this year was the most fun I have had!
If you don't get enough with this video I have another one of Haley opening her gifts that is worth a laugh or two if you have about 4 minutes to spare! The link is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBzVlnO8Pk8&eurl=http://littlefinchflockfamily.blogspot.com/&feature=player_embedded
Family Party Before Christmas

We are lucky to have so many friends and family near by. We got together with Ern and his extended family for a party on the 23. It is always nice to see everyone and do the 'Secret Santa Exchange'. Everyone works to make it fun and exciting for everyone there and it is always good for a few laughs!
Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa's House
Christmas Eve day was relaxing and enjoyable! Ern was out doing the moose thing and Haley and I played and finished gift stuff before heading to Grandma and Grandpa's house to celebrate. Gifts are fun but Haley's favorite thing is playing with the cousins! Uncle Brian did the honers of passing out the gifts! It is always a nice time but family who are not here with us are always missed and thought about.
Christmas Day At The Novotneys

It is always a treat to go to the Butch and Kathy's on Christmas day. She starts decorating the day after Thanksgiving and works at it till Christmas! It has been a while since Haley had seen Nana Betty and we had a chance to catch up a bit.
Uncle BJ was in town and has an obvious natural ability to relate to kids and Haley really enjoyed him! Sorry we missed you Bob and Betty, we will visit soon!
Christmas Day at Home

It is always fun to go places and share things with others and it is also nice to return to your own home. Haley was very good about waiting for this day to open gifts and we took great pleasure in watching her! Thanks so much Aunt Jane and Grammy Annie for the gifts. I sure wish you could have been here with us. I especially missed not seeing the Emersons, Kjorlens, and the Hickeys over the Holiday. My own family in Wisconsin is small and these families have always treated me like their own. I will always love and miss them and appreciate having them in my life!

Christmas went through the evening and then on to the next day! Haley got so pooped that we saved some gifts to open the next day. She loves her dolls and any thing that goes along with them. They go everywhere with her! Haley got a cold over the Holiday and learned the art of nose picking, she also learned her first official swear word that an Uncle let unknowingly slip out. She will no longer ride in her sled and insists that she pull it with her dollies inside. Her favorite song is Happy Birthday and she sang it before every Xmas party!
The next big event will be a trip to our cabin but weather will determine when that will be!
