It is still a little early for the true antler hunting season but Ern never misses a chance to give Haley some early training. She is not always excited to get geared up for the weather but she does pretty good once we get walking. There is never a dull moment, she is either pointing out things for us to look at or we are pointing things out to her. She is learning about different kinds of birds, poop, and animal tracks --and of course - how to spot an antler!
Pumpkin Carving 101
I'm not sure who was most excited to carve the pumpkin between Ern and Haley. It was the first time for both of them! We warmed up with drawing on a little pumpkin before tackling the big project! There was no stopping her once she got started. She spent over an hour transferring the seeds back and forth between bowl and pumpkin.
Our Little Pumpkin Seed!
Happy Birthday Joseph!
Haley was invited to her friend Joseph's birthday party. The party was at Aurora kids Gym. She had lots of fun learning about kid activities that she had never seen before. She was good at trying most things but was happy to sit to the side and watch some of the more extreme stuff!
She is shy about singing happy birthday with lots of people around but never too shy to have cake!
Monkey See - Monkey Do!
The days are getting short and cold so we joined back with the rock gym a few weeks ago. It is such a kid friendly place and gives us all a chance to get some exercise. She is a handful when we are there and seems to instinctively know how to find the most likely places for danger. She love going and it gives us all a chance to have new teaching and learning opportunities to say the least!
Never too young to start!
