We have been having fun enjoying some family time while we work to get Ern ready for his sheep hunts. We did have one unexpected adventure detour! I drove up to Fairbanks to pick Ern up while he flew his plane so it would be ready for his hunts. My drive went fine till I felt a very distinct wobble in the steering. A long story short - I drove slowly a few more miles to Denali Park and checked the tires at the gas station, I could not believe my eyes when I found that every lug nut and bolt had been sheered off except one that was holding the wheel on by a mere thumb nail! Ern's brother Harv saved the day and towed us back home on a trailer the next where they made a quick fix of the problem! Haley was staying with her cousins through all of this and had a great time as usual!
Haley is in the stage where she wants to be a part of everything - or do it all by her self if she possibly can. She dresses up with everything she can find and will wear and carry around the dog collars when ever she can. Here she is ready to help brush the dogs!
Her cousins bought her some fancy new play shoes. Ern just shook his head and asked, "what are we in for?" That's a good question............ I feel pretty certain we will be proud and smiling no matter what we are in for!
Play Time With Haley
We have enjoyed our small window of family time before things get busy with the hunting season. Haley is always on the go and never runs out of ideas to try new things and new ways of doing old things.
Still Having Fun With the Balloons!I'm not sure who has the most fun with all of the balloon stuff! We all get a kick out of watching Luna volley the balloon several times in the air before it lands!
Can you guess what happens next? Yep! Haley got knocked flat on the ground when Luna landed. She brushed her self off and was ready to do it again! I was referring to Haley but Luna was ready too!
Pics of the "Near Miss"
I could not believe it when I popped the tire cap and all of the lug nuts and bolts came out with it! Those are not the ends of the bolts, its where they were all snapped off at the middle!
