Luckey To Have Time To Share Together

Randy Pausch and His Wife Jai Will Always Be An Inspiration To Me!

I Just learned about Randy and his Family a few weeks ago. He has a best selling book out called "The Last Lecture". I would post all of his link information if I knew how to. He died of Pancreatic cancer earlier this morning. He had such a wonderful out look on life and reached out to the world to share his passion for living and encouraged others to do the same.
Randy's wife Jai is just as inspiring. We all have hardships in life but this family has really helped me to put things in perspective and to be grateful for each day.

A Date With Ern!

Some people may have gone to the movies on this slightly rainy and over cast day. We dropped Haley off with Grandma and Grandpa and went antler hunting!
It was nice to get out and to see Ern moving so well on his feet. Can you see the three moose?

Balloons and Airplanes and Cousins and Stuff!

What Happened to Haley's Balloons?!!!!!!!!!

Click on the Slide Show Below To Find Out!

I Love My Cousins!

We had a little family get together this weekend and Haley was glad to see her cousins as usual. Cousin Aidan got his pants wet so he borrowed some from Haley. He gave her a big hug to show his appreciation! He did not seem to mind the pink and flower pattern and all of us had a good laugh over it!

A Plane Ride To Talkeetna

Friends of my family came from Wisc for their second Alaska Visit (John & Shelly). We were glad they could spend their last day with us to take a flight to Talkeetna to check out the town and have dinner. They were great sports about the tight space and non stop rain! We did not see much of the mountains but did see one bear and several moose along the way.Haley is becoming more and more comfortable in the plane. She is always so eager to get her head set on and go. She seems pretty aware of the concept that she is in the air and points things out through the window. She liked watching her dad fly the plane! We took time out to check out the local wild life at this quaint little town! It has been really nice to have Ern back to enjoy some family time before he heads out again!

Im 20 Months Old Today!

Those are not all bug bites on her face - they are a rash that her friend, Sarah was kind enough to share with Haley. She is not contagious unless you are another baby who wants to swap a kiss or share a drink!
Haley continues to make us laugh each day. She is endless with her new words and creative ways of getting her needs met. She said her first sentence in the tent at Fish camp. She tickled me and then leaned over to her dad and said, "I tickle Momma!" Funny how such simple things can make a parent proud!!!
She did go to the doctor to have her rash looked at and weighed in at 20lb 1oz! You would never know that she loves every kind of food and eats like a horse!

I said not all the bumps are bug bites but there are plenty of mosquitoes along the trail behind our house just waiting for fresh sweet baby blood so we are glad that she is happy and willing to wear her bug net!

No- we did not have her wear it just to hide her rash!!!!!!!!!

Home From Fish Camp - Haley and Fin Reconnect!

Cute But Too Old........

We had a great few weeks at Nushagak fish camp and I am excited to share more pictures and memories later but I did want to share a few from Haley's first 'romance'. The guys above are no doubt handsome and very capable fishermen but Haley knew that she needed to find someone more her size and age with a bit more in common in the hair department!

There He Was - The Apple Of Her Eyes!

There he was - Fin! Son of Dylan and Sarah, Fishing is in his blood and he was eager to share his treasures with Haley. Both of them had done allot of growing and maturing since their time on the beach together last year. ( Haley at 6mo and Fin at 3mo 2007)
Haley was glad to accept Fin's token of friendship and they sealed the beginning of a long lasting friendship with a kiss.
He was the perfect age, perfect size, and had the perfect hair style!
